GSLV
India2001 to 2026The Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle is India's rocket for heavier payloads and higher orbits. Its early versions struggle with a Russian-supplied and then an Indian cryogenic upper stage, but the GSLV Mk II matures into a dependable launcher, and the much larger LVM3 launches Chandrayaan-2 and Chandrayaan-3 and is being prepared to carry India's first astronauts.
