Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 August 2026
1.The service
Flight Atlas (flightatlas.org) is a database and visualization site for rocket launches. The free tier gives you the full launch database and visualizations; a paid premium subscription adds features such as saved views, scheduled screenshots, optional view-update emails, the chart builder and chart animation exports. By using the site or creating an account you agree to these terms.
2.Accounts
You need an account for premium features. Keep your login credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide a real email address — verification, password resets, billing notices and any view-update emails you turn on go there. You can delete your account yourself at any time from your profile page.
3.Premium subscription, billing and renewal
Premium costs $3 per month, billed through Stripe. The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. We email you a reminder before each renewal, and Stripe issues a receipt for every charge.
You can cancel anytime from your profile page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period by default (you keep premium access until then), or immediately if you choose. Cancelling is as easy as subscribing: no email, no phone call, no waiting.
If a renewal payment fails, premium access is suspended until payment succeeds. We may change the price with at least 30 days’ notice by email; the new price only applies from your next renewal after the notice, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
4.Refunds
If something went wrong with a charge — you meant to cancel, a renewal surprised you, a feature you paid for did not work — email flightatlas.contact@gmail.com and we will sort it out; we do not fight refund requests over $3. EU consumers have a statutory 14-day withdrawal right for the initial purchase; by starting the subscription immediately you agree that the service begins before that period ends, and the right lapses once the service is fully delivered for the period.
5.Acceptable use
Don’t abuse the service: no attempts to break authentication, scrape at volumes that degrade the site, resell access, or use the site for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do, and will say why.
6.Content and data
Launch data is compiled from public sources (such as The Space Devs) and provided for personal and research use, with no guarantee of completeness or accuracy. Launch descriptions are written by an AI assistant from public sources and may contain errors. Screenshots and charts you create from your own saved views are yours.
7.No warranty, limitation of liability
Flight Atlas is a one-person project provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or EU consumers’ statutory rights.
8.Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site or by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept them. If you disagree, cancel and delete your account — that right is always available. These terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of protections of their country of residence.
