Proton-K/DM-2MBaikonur Cosmodrome, Republic of Kazakhstan
Drawing of the Proton-K/DM-2M for Yamal-101 & 102

Carried the Yamal-101 and Yamal-102 communications satellites from Baikonur toward geostationary orbit for Russia's Gazkom. Yamal-101 was lost after an electrical fault prevented its solar panels deploying, while Yamal-102 reached orbit successfully and entered service.
