Ariane 62 launched the MTG-I2 weather satellite for Europe's Meteosat Third Generation program, delivering it to geostationary transfer orbit. The flight was Ariane 6's first mission to GTO, with the satellite set to aid early detection of rapidly developing storms and improve weather forecasting from geostationary orbit.
