Scout

United States1960 to 1994

Scout is America's first all-solid-fuel orbital rocket, a four-stage launcher built by Vought for NASA and flown from 1960 to 1994. Cheap and simple, it launches small science satellites, Transit navigation satellites and many international missions, including Italy's San Marco satellites from a platform off the coast of Kenya.
