SAMOS 1 (Program 101 / Agena 2101), the first USAF SAMOS E-1 film-readout photoreconnaissance satellite, launched on an Atlas LV-3A Agena-A from Point Arguello LC-1-1 on 11 October 1960. A second-stage Agena failure destroyed the spacecraft before orbital insertion.
