Iran's Simorgh rocket failed to place the Zafar-1 communications/imaging satellite into orbit, the country's fourth consecutive orbital launch failure since 2017. The first two stages performed normally, but the vehicle fell about 1,000 m/s short of orbital velocity after reaching a 540 km apogee.
