Rocket family
Angara
Soviet Union and Russia2014 to 2026Angara is Russia's modular rocket family, built by Khrunichev around a common kerosene and liquid-oxygen core so that light and heavy versions share the same stages. Designed to replace Proton and to launch from Russian soil, it flies rarely: the light Angara 1.2 from Plesetsk and the heavy Angara A5 from Plesetsk and, since 2024, Vostochny.
