BADR & Aussat-B-MFS

Maiden flight of the Long March 2E, China's first rocket with strap-on liquid boosters; carried Pakistan's first satellite, Badr-1, plus a dummy mass simulator for the Aussat-B communications satellite. An upper-stage attitude fault left the dummy payload in a bad orbit, though Badr-1 reached its planned low Earth orbit.
