BSE (Yuri 1), Japan's first experimental direct-broadcast television satellite for the Ministry of Posts and NHK. Delta 2914 from Cape Canaveral LC-17B placed it in GEO at 110°E with Ku-band 100 W TWTA transponders for TV signal and rainfall-attenuation experiments.
