Skynet 1B, the second UK Ministry of Defence military communications satellite for the Skynet program. Thor Delta M from Cape Canaveral LC-17A on 19 August 1970 reached GTO, but the Star 17A apogee motor failed and stranded the craft in transfer orbit.
