Soyuz-FG launched Soyuz TMA-22 from Baikonur carrying Anton Shkaplerov, Anton Ivanishin and NASA's Daniel Burbank to the ISS. It was the first crewed Soyuz launch since a Progress cargo-ship failure in August 2011 had raised the prospect of a temporary station evacuation, and the first crewed flight of any kind since Space Shuttle retirement.
